A separate water main leak discovered Thursday morning about a mile away is unrelated to the water main break on Sunset, officials said. Regarding the timeline for reopening Sunset Boulevard, Rubio clarified, "Absolutely, I said by the end of the week, so it could be Friday or Saturday." Once cleanup and contractor demobilization are complete, Sunset Boulevard will reopen to traffic.
