Nexstar Media Group, the largest local news provider in the U.S., announced Tuesday that it will not air late-night host Jimmy Kimmel's show upon its return in the evening. Nextstar led the effort to essentially have Kimmel censured for what it considered inappropriate comments related to the Sept. 10 killing of conservative political activist Charlie Kirk. Disney's ABC suspended the show following the group announced that its ABC affiliates would preempt it. However, Nextstar says it will continue to keep "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" Earlier Monday, ABC announced it had reached an agreement with Kimmel to put the show back on the air after deciding last week to suspend it indefinitely.
