DUI Motorcycle Rider Slams Road Sign at 90 MPH North of Spokane

The Spokane County Sheriff's Office now says there were some significant factors in the death of a male motorcycle rider north of Spokane on Tuesday evening.
The Rider Was Believed to be IntoxicatedAround 7 PM Deputies and EMS rushed to the intersection of N. Milan Elk Road at E. Eloika Roads, a few miles east of Deer Park and North of Spokane.
Get our free mobile appWhen they arrived they learned a single male on his motorcycle had tried to negotiate a sweeping turn at the junction, crossed the centerline into the oncoming lane on the 2-lane road, then slammed into a road sign.
The SCSO investigation confirmed a witness claim the rider had weaved his way around a few cars and was going 90.
The investigation continues, the SCSO says the name and age of the rider will be released "when it is appropriate.'
