Census aims to identify affected households, support permanent housing solutions and assess priority needs.
On Thursday, the government of Venezuelan Acting President Delcy Rodriguez announced the launch of the “Unified Housing Registry” at temporary camps in Caracas.
The Unified Housing Registry uses a fingerprint capture system that speeds up data collection to determine the number of homes that need to be built and to address priority labor and medical needs.
Its goal is to ensure a permanent housing solution and guarantee clarity in the census of those affected.
That day, Acting President Rodriguez announced that 4,000 homes will be delivered to earthquake victims by the end of the year.
