OMRON Electronic Components has announced that it will operate under the new name Aratas, bringing its electronic components business under a new brand while retaining the products, engineering expertise and customer relationships built over more than 90 years. At the same time, shorter product development cycles and increasingly complex supply chains are placing greater pressure on component suppliers to provide technical support alongside reliable product availability. According to Aratas, the new identity is intended to better represent that role while building on the reputation established under the OMRON Electronic Components brand. For existing customers, the transition is expected to be largely one of branding, with products and technical support continuing under the new company name. Aratas has already launched its new website and branding, with further updates expected as the transition progresses.
