Article contentI distinctly remember hearing Donald Trump say “We love Canada” during a meeting in the Oval Office in 2025 when he hosted our Prime Minister Mark Carney. I also remember when our Canadian “Super Scooper” water bombers willingly provided aerial firefighting support during the California fires last year. We are now in a crisis situation with forest fires across our country, many of which are uncontained, and many of which were triggered by lightning over which we had no control. What a lovely demonstration of friendship and concern on behalf of his country which is supposed to love us so much. With friends like this, do we need enemies?
