Pfutsero, July 23 (MExN): A Committee of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly on Tuesday conducted an on-site review of the implementation of the Nagaland Municipal Act, 2023, and the Nagaland Village & Tribal Councils Act, 1978, during a visit to Pfutsero Town in Phek District. The visit focused on assessing coordination between the Pfutsero Town Council and Village Councils, civil administration, service delivery, developmental activities, and grassroots-level challenges. The Committee held separate interactions with the Village Council Chairmen, Village Development Board (VDB) Secretaries under Pfutsero Sadar, Councillors of the Pfutsero Town Council and the Gaon Buras of Pfutsero Town. The discussions centred on the implementation of the two Acts under consideration, with emphasis on coordination between the Pfutsero Town Council and the Village Councils, Civil Administration, service delivery, developmental activities and challenges at the grassroots level.
