Peren, July 23 (MExN): The District Magistrate, Peren, Hiazu Meru has issued a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) on “Integrated Protocol for Monitoring, Enforcement and Removal of Unauthorised Parked Vehicles on National Highways.” As per the SOP, the enforcement team shall comprise the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Peren (HQ)/Additional Deputy Commissioner, Jalukie; Additional Superintendent of Police, Peren; Regional Transport Officer, Kohima i/c Peren; Executive Engineer, PWD (NH), Kohima i/c Peren; Extra Assistant Commissioner, Peren; Extra Assistant Commissioner, Ngwalwa; Office-in-Charge, NHIDCL, Peren; and PA to DC, Peren. The enforcement team shall cover NH 129A from KM 109.494 to KM 173.850 under Peren district. The District Magistrate along with the State Police shall initiate action for removal of illegal parking. The NHIDCL and PWD (NH) must ensure recovery cranes are stationed at intervals not exceeding 75 km to support enforcement activities.
