Sony has officially announced the launch of the FX5, a new full-frame camera in its Cinema Line lineup equipped with an advanced stacked CMOS image sensor. Designed to provide professional-grade video capture in a portable and compact form factor, the camera is currently available for purchase in select markets. The camera supports video recording resolutions up to 5K at 60 fps, 4K at 120 fps, and Full HD high-frame-rate capture at 240 fps. The FX5 is available in two configurations: body-only for approximately $4,899.99 or bundled with a new XLR audio adapter for $ 5,499.99. The accessory shoe-mounted XLR adapter supports 4-channel, 32-bit float audio, while a detachable high-resolution OLED electronic viewfinder is sold separately.
