Sanchez Vicario was initially ordered a two-year prison sentence, but the tennis star, a first-time offender who promised to pay back her $11 million debt, avoided prison. During the trial, Sanchez Vicario said, despite her high-earning career, she had no money to support her children. The Spanish phenom won three French Open singles titles, the U.S. Open in 1994 and reached multiple Australian Open and Wimbledon finals.
