Guadalajara, Jalisco – Mexico’s advanced technology exports are experiencing remarkable growth as rising demand for artificial intelligence infrastructure in the United States strengthens the country’s role in the global technology supply chain. The surge has positioned technology products as Mexico’s leading export category to the U.S., reflecting the rapid expansion of AI-related industries on both sides of the border. Advanced technology products now account for more than 30 percent of Mexico’s exports to the United States, overtaking the automotive industry, which had long been the country’s largest export sector. Jalisco remains at the center of Mexico’s technology manufacturing industry. While the United States continues working to expand domestic manufacturing, it also depends heavily on imports from Mexico to support the fast-growing AI industry.
