Former Real Madrid star Luka Modrić has this week made the call to continue his iconic career for at least one more year. This comes amid confirmation of the veteran having put pen to paper on a new contract with AC Milan. Midfield icon Modrić is for his part fresh off taking to the pitch for what is expected to be the final time in the colours of his native Croatia. Set to turn 41 years of age in September, it had in turn been suggested that Modrić could call time on his club career, too. As per a statement released by Italian giants AC Milan on Thursday, Modrić has signed a new contract with the club, through the summer of 2027.
