Alongside getting a strange new minigame in a recent update, MindsEye has also seemingly changed the ending of its storyline. The ending also introduces a host of new concepts to MindsEye, including Jacob being “the first of the chosen” as well as reincarnation. The update, dubbed Update 8, was released on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S earlier this week, and has been described by developer Build a Rocket Boy as one of MindsEye’s biggest updates yet. The last major update for MindsEye was released back in April. The update was released following plenty of controversy surrounding statements made by studio CEO and CTO Mark Gerhard, who claimed that MindsEye was affected by saboteurs.
