Developers Crystal Dynamics and Flying Wild Hog have released a new developer diary for Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, giving us a 5-minute-long look at the traversal and movement in the reimagining of the original Tomb Raider. Schweiger went on to discuss how the essence of the original Tomb Raider’s movement systems was for the development team to nail in the upcoming game. Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis will give players plenty of ways to move around the world, from climbing and jumping to her grappling hook that gives her additional capabilities to navigate the verticality of the in-game environments. That is literally the debut title that’s set up for what we’re doing now, 30 years later, as part of Tomb Raider,” said Amos. Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis is being developed for PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2 and is slated for release on February 12th, 2027.
