It's all about a battery component called a silicon anode. Sila Nano has been doing research into using silicon anodes for at least 15 years. Up until a few years ago, the concept of a silicon anode was problematic. The new influx of money will enable Sila Nano to ramp up production of "Titan Silicon" and also allow them to move into phase two of their factory expansion in Moses Lake.
