Telco AI is no longer just a proof-of-concept. AI is no longer an overlay on the network. It is being embedded in the network itself, from telco-grade models running inside basebands and radios to agents working the incident chain. AI-generated traffic, physical AI and, eventually, hundreds of billions of agents will bring demands that today’s networks were never designed around, including heavier uplink, deterministic latency and compute on tap. This report, which draws on insights shared during RCRTech’s Telco AI Forum, examines how operators, vendors and researchers are converging on that challenge, and what has to happen next to turn AI’s momentum into durable operational and commercial advantage.
