Maine's Hidden Black Sand Beach Is Worth the Boat Ride
['Allyssa Marson']
I-95 – Bangor\'s Classic Rock Station – Bangor Classic Rock Radio
There are a lot of great places to spend a summer day in Maine, but Black Sand Beach on Androscoggin Lake has to be one of the coolest.
Most people pull their boat up, throw out an anchor, and spend the day swimming, relaxing on the beach, or just hanging out with friends and family.
If you don't want to head home when the sun goes down, you can even camp overnight on Norris Island, where Black Sand Beach is located.
Don't Forget the Rope SwingsOne of my favorite things about Black Sand Beach has to be the rope swings.
Between the rope swings, swimming, and the unique black sand, it's the kind of place that reminds you what summer in Maine is all about.
