The Seattle Seahawks officially placed running back Zach Charbonnet on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list as training camp approaches.
Charbonnet enjoyed a standout campaign last year, amassing 730 rushing yards on 184 carries and leading the team with 12 touchdowns.
In doing so, he became the first Seahawks player to achieve double-digit rushing touchdowns in a single season since Marshawn Lynch accomplished the feat in 2014.
Although no rigid return date has been announced, Charbonnet remains eligible to be activated off the preseason PUP list at any point prior to final roster cuts.
Charbonnet joins four other Seahawks teammates currently assigned to the PUP list ahead of camp, including safety Nick Emmanwori, running back Kenny McIntosh, cornerback Tyrone Broden, and defensive tackle Deven Eastern.
