Australia's largest oil and gas company has lost its long-running lawsuit against protesters who set off stench gas at its headquarters. Woodside took the case to the Supreme Court of Western Australia to force the Disrupt Burrup Hub campaigners to hand over documents about the planning of the June 2023 incident. Justice Matthew Howard on Thursday dismissed the case, finding Woodside had not established there were more people involved in the protest. The Burrup Hub project has faced significant opposition from climate protesters. Disrupt Burrup Hub claims Woodside's operations in the area and its proposed expansion will significantly harm the environment.
