Douala Mooring Company (DMC), the operator of mooring services at the Port of Douala-Bonabéri, will distribute CFA25 million ($43,000) in dividends from its 2025 net profit of CFA29.39 million ($50,500), returning about 85% of its annual earnings to shareholders.
The company handles mooring operations, including securing ships when they arrive at port and releasing them when they depart.
After paying CFA9.6 million ($16,500) in corporate income tax, it posted a net profit of CFA29.39 million.
That represents a net profit margin of about 6.7%, meaning the company kept less than CFA7 in after-tax profit for every CFA100 in revenue.
With less than CFA1.5 million retained from its 2025 profit, DMC will have limited internally generated funds to finance future investments, replace equipment, or support day-to-day operations.
