Contract development manufacturing organization (CDMO) Samsung Biologics has announced an all-cash tender offer to acquire PolyPeptide Group AG for approximately CHF 1.46 billion ($1.8 billion). Samsung will offer CHF 44.31 ($54.65) per share for 100% of PolyPeptide's fully diluted share capital, excluding treasury shares. As part of this effort, we have decided to acquire PolyPeptide, a global peptide CDMO,” a spokesperson for Samsung Biologics, told BioXconomy. Samsung plans to launch the formal tender offer by the end of August 2026 with publication of the offer prospectus. Once successfully completed, Samsung Biologics intends to pursue a “squeeze-out” of any remaining minority shares and delist PolyPeptide from the SIX.
