Texas A&M University-Texarkana has promoted Mary Chris "MC" Vogt to Head Women's Basketball Coach, making her the first female head coach in the program's history. Vogt previously served as the Eagles' Associate Head Coach and Recruiting Coordinator during the 2025-26 season, helping lead the team to a 20-10 record. She now takes the reins as the program prepares for its move to NCAA Division II and the Lone Star Conference. During that time, the Aggies captured the 2011 NCAA Women's Basketball National Championship and made several deep NCAA Tournament runs. Athletic Director Ryan Wall said Vogt has earned the opportunity through her leadership, dedication, and commitment to student-athletes.
