There’s going to be some late evening cuts to mainline train services through east London next month, because the ground is too dry. From 3rd August, Network Rail is advising that it will need additional overnight engineering hours to carry out maintenance work along the railway through east London. On Thursdays only, after 23:30, some services on the London to Colchester route will have journey times extended by up to 6 minutes. Elizabeth line: A reduced service will operate between Gidea Park and Shenfield from 23:00 to midnight on certain dates. Network Rail Anglia will be monitoring track conditions across the region, and speed restrictions may be needed in the coming weeks to keep services running smoothly.
