The All-Ireland SFC winning captain and manager was ratified for another year at a county board meeting last night. He has been the longest-serving inter-county football manager since 2023 when Colm Collins ended his tenure in Clare. 'Geezer' succeeded Paul Grimley as Orchard County boss in 2014 and had to wait five years for his first win in the Ulster SFC. Barry O'Hagan was also reappointed as Armagh U20 football manager at last night's meeting.
