Muscat — Oman reaffirmed Wednesday its close monitoring of recent developments in the Red Sea, emphasizing the importance of avoiding any escalation that could threaten regional security or disrupt maritime safety. In an official statement, the Sultanate said it continues to coordinate with Saudi Arabia, Yemeni parties, and the UN Special Envoy to Yemen to resume the political track and implement the agreed roadmap, supporting peace efforts and enhancing stability in Yemen and the wider region. Oman reiterated its commitment to dialogue and political solutions as the most effective means to reduce regional tensions, safeguard Red Sea security, and ensure the stability of international shipping routes.
