Moisture and instability associated with a tropical wave will continue to affect the area this afternoon and tonight. As a result, the Flood Warning for the northern half of the island and the Flood Watch for the southern portion have been extended until 6:00 p.m. today. Residents in areas prone to flooding, landslides and falling rocks are advised to remain vigilant and exercise extreme caution. Seas are forecast to remain slight to moderate, with wave heights up to 3 feet along the west coast and up to 7 feet along the east coast during the next 24 hours. Meanwhile, another tropical wave located in the eastern Atlantic is being monitored.
