Genevieve Board of Aldermen reconsider their decision to possibly quit financially supporting the Chamber, during last Thursday night’s city meeting. Thomure invited the board to engage the chamber in “an open dialogue.”“You have questions and we have answers,” she said. “Last year we were able to provide enough information at this same budget meeting to prove our value for the city of St. Genevieve is justified in our annual funding. The county and the city of St. Genevieve are the very essence of why we exist and what we strive to promote. Genevieve was phased out, the chamber was asked to step in and share a part of that role.”She listed several projects in which the chamber has aided the city.
