We need you to support our national effort to call for unconditional recognition of the State of Palestine and an immediate arms embargo on Israel. We need mosques and imams across the UK to co-sign an open letter addressed to the UK Government and local MPs. This letter urges them to:Officially and unconditionally recognise the State of Palestine;Immediately impose a two-way arms embargo on Israel in accordance with the UK’s legal obligations under international law. We call on the British government to immediately and unconditionally recognise Palestinian statehood as per our European allies, Spain, Slovenia, Norway and Ireland have already taken this historic step towards lasting peace. In 2014 the House of Commons passed a motion in 2014 which called on the UK government to recognise Palestine as an independent state.
