To mark the occasion, the Prince and Princess of Wales shared a new portrait of their eldest son looking smart in a suit and shirt on the steps of Kensington Palace. The photograph was taken by trusted royal photographer Matt Porteous following Trooping the Colour, which George attended with his parents and siblings, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. It is difficult to believe that more than a decade has passed since the then Duke and Duchess of Cambridge delighted with world by announcing the birth of their first child, Prince George Alexander Louis. It was historic: Queen Elizabeth II had lived to see the birth of three generations of direct heirs: her son, now King Charles III, grandson Prince William, and great-grandson Prince George.
