Arizona GOP Rep. Andy Biggs won the Republican nomination Tuesday night for Arizona governor, defeating fellow GOP Rep. David Schweikert and two other candidates. Biggs' victory comes after he secured President Donald Trump's endorsement earlier this month, making him the frontrunner in the race to face current Democratic Gov. Hobbs is running for the Democratic Party's nomination unopposed. The victor secured 70.4% of the vote while Schweikert secured 17.2% at the time of publishing, according to the Associated Press. Biggs is expected to face a tough challenge in November because Republicans have struggled to win statewide in Arizona in the Trump era, save for the president himself.
