Baker, Louisiana - Sue Don Peel Kinsley,age 95,passed away peacefully on Saturday,July 18, 2026,surrounded by her loving family after a brief illness. Born on May 12, 1931, in Jonesville, Louisiana, Sue lived a life defined by faith, family, education, and service to others. Sue graduated from Istrouma High School in 1948 before earning her bachelor's degree from Southeastern Louisiana University in 1954, where she was also a cheerleader. Her teaching career began at Hahnville High School before she returned to Baton Rouge, where she taught physical education at Istrouma Junior High, Park Forest Middle School, and Central Middle School. A lifelong sports enthusiast, Sue enjoyed playing basketball during her years at Istrouma High School and later coached numerous teams while teaching.
