Over $6.1 million in provincial funding is on its way to eleven municipalities in Nipissing. MPP Vic Fedeli announced the 2026 Ontario Community Infrastructure Funding (OCIF) is to help municipalities across the riding renew and rehabilitate critical infrastructure. North Bay receives the most funding, at $4.8 million. Eight municipalities are receiving the minimum grant amount of $125,000. “The Ontario Community Infrastructure Fund helps small, rural and northern communities address critical infrastructure such as roads, bridges, water and wastewater systems,” says Fedeli.
