The Mount Vernon City Council voted on July 13 to approve its first guaranteed maximum price package of $.6.58 million for site work and some equipment with long lead times for the Mount Vernon Police Station project. "This first GMP (guaranteed maximum price) constitutes some early site work that's necessary to activate the site and to take advantage of the favorable summer weather.
