GERMANY: The suspect in a shooting last month that left six people dead was found dead in his prison cell today, authorities said.
The shooting in Stade, in northern Germany, occurred on June 29 at a facility that provides temporary accommodation for pregnant women or young mothers with children.
The man, whom authorities have not named, was found in his cell at a prison in Bremervoerde, near Stade.
The investigation so far indicates that the suspect killed himself, the ministry said.
The announcement came months after Ozgur Ozel was removed from his post as leader of the Republican People’s Party by a court order.
