Southern Idaho Police arrested a man from Texas following a high-speed pursuit on Monday morning. No injuries were reported, but the driver was taken to a local hospital for a medical evaluation. Texas Driver Arrested in Southern Idaho Following High Speed Pursuit in Jerome CountyThe incident began on Monday, July 20th, around 8:10 AM when the Idaho State Police received a message from police in Caldwell that a stolen vehicle with a GPS tracking device had pinged in Jerome. When ISP troopers attempted to stop the vehicle, a 2017 GMC box truck driven by a 33-year-old male from Texas, the driver fled. During the pursuit, the driver drove recklessly, attempted to ram an ISP patrol vehicle, and continued fleeing despite tire deflation efforts.
