The Chairperson of the KCCB Youth Commission also highlighted the Church in Kenya's efforts to institutionalize youth participation through the establishment of a dedicated Youth Commission about a year and a half ago.
He noted that youth leaders from parish groups, Young Christian Students (YCS), university communities, and Young Catholic Adults (YCA) are all represented in the Commission.
But the way of relaying the message changes because of the context,” the Catholic Bishop said.
The Kenyan Catholic Church leader also highlighted another milestone in youth formation, noting that the KCCB launched four formation manuals during the National Youth Mass in Mombasa last year, each tailored to a specific group: parish youth, Young Christian Students, university students, and Young Catholic Adults.
Looking beyond the AMECEA Assembly, Bishop Odonya expressed hope that the deliberations would strengthen youth ministry throughout Eastern Africa.
