Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was detained by the Delhi Police during a protest outside the prime minister’s house, his party claimed. The Congress claimed that the Delhi Police arrived outside the prime minister's residence to clear the sit-in and detained several party workers. Earlier, the Opposition demanded a discussion in Parliament on the police’s lathi-charge on protesters during demonstration on Monday. The Cockroach Janta Party alleged that the Delhi Police had fired pellet guns at the protesters. Farmer groups have opposed the trade deal saying cheaper agricultural imports could adversely affect farmers, labourers and small businesses.
