Claremore - Jim Adkison was born in Brinkley, Arkansas, on November 30, 1938. He later worked as a Harris County, Texas, deputy sheriff and air traffic controller, serving as parade-side security for President John F. Kennedy. He was a proud member of the Claremore Elks Lodge and a faithful member of Claremore First Methodist Church, where he generously gave his time in service to others. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Jim's honor may be made to Clarehouse, Claremore First Methodist Church Food Pantry, C.O.R.E. Please designate all gifts in memory of Jim Adkison.
