According to the Red Cross, someone in the U.S. needs blood every two seconds, so blood products must be constantly replenished. Whether it’s whole blood, red cells, platelets, or plasma, each lifesaving donation begins with one generous donor. Summer is one of the most challenging times of the year for maintaining an adequate blood supply. To help meet this need, Handmaker is proud to host a Red Cross Blood Drive on Tuesday, Aug. 11, from 10:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. in its Great Room. Check the Red Cross eligibility guidelines here:redcrossblood.org/donate-blood/how-to-donate/eligibility-requirements/eligibility-criteria-alphabetical.htmlHandmaker invites all who are eligible to come together as a community on Tuesday, Aug. 11 and help prevent a summer blood shortage.
