New Albany, Indiana - William Franklin Wright, known fondly to many as Bill, passed away on Monday, July 20, 2026, at the age of 91. Born in New Albany, Indiana, on January 30, 1935, Bill's life spanned over nine decades, during which he touched the lives of countless individuals. Bill lived out his faith in practical ways by helping other men who were down and out by providing them a short-term place to live. Bill is preceded in death by his parents, John Wright and Edith "Vonnie" (Walts) Wright; and his siblings, Jeanetta Yarborough, John R. Wright, Marion Gardner, Robert Wright, Norma Darst, James M. Wright, Betty Quick, Judy Kost, and Donna Johnson. His Funeral Service will be at 4:00 pm on Friday, at the funeral home.
