Zanskar, July 21: In a major crackdown on drug trafficking, Zanskar Police arrested an Israeli national after recovering suspected narcotic substances from his possession during a routine vehicle check at the Police Check Post Kargyak/Gonbo Rangjon in Zanskar of UT Ladakh. The accused has been identified as Adir Yemini (24), a resident of Israel, who was travelling in a private Alto car (Registration No. During routine checking, police intercepted the vehicle and conducted a search of the passenger's belongings. Following the recovery, Police Station Zanskar registered FIR No. 23/2026 under Sections 8/20/21 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, and further investigation has been initiated to ascertain the source and intended destination of the seized substances.
