Lydia Eger was recognized in Ski Area Management Magazine’s “10 Under 30” Class of 2026 for her work as Eagle County Program manager for the outdoor mentorship program SOS Outreach. SOS Outreach has been around since 1993, creating opportunities for young people to be outside no matter the societal barrier. This season she also gave 22 parents of SOS kids the chance to learn how to ski and snowboard, deepening family connections to snowsports. “Lydia represents the kind of leader every community hopes to develop,” said Seth Ehrlich, chief executive officer of SOS Outreach. After learning to ski in Tahoe, Eger’s passion for the outdoors and teaching youth is what pushed her to join SOS Outreach.
