Stablecoins have been on payments companies’ radar screens for years, but only recently has the digital currency gained the credibility needed to move processors, merchants, and users toward using stablecoins for everyday payments. The latest example of this emerged early Tuesday with an announcement from Mesh, a San Francisco-based crypto payments network, that it will work with Bitget Wallet to make Bitget simpler to use. The latest deal also makes Bitget Wallet one of a number of exchanges, wallets, and payments providers integrated by Mesh, the company says. Mesh’s recent moves have included its Mesh Wallet, which the company says allows AI agents to engage in transactions using stablecoins. That’s what it takes for stablecoins to become genuinely useful to every business, not just for crypto companies,” says Andrew Chapello, New York City-based Ramp’s stablecoin product manager, in a statement.
