GODERICH – Goderich is already moving full steam ahead with plans for its 2027 bicentennial. Petrie said another of the main focuses for next year’s festivities is bringing former residents back to Goderich. “The hope is that it will bring people back to Goderich — people that grew up here, families that have moved away. We want them to come back and celebrate a phenomenal 200th birthday,” she said. Goderich has begun announcing some details for events, with the major bicentennial celebration weekend set for June 24 to June 27, 2027.
