The 2026 Beef Leaders Institute class gathers outside of the American Angus Association’s headquarters in St. Joseph, Mo., during one of their educational stops. The trip, hosted by the American Angus Association in collaboration with Certified Angus Beef and the Angus Foundation, gives producers a behind-the-scenes look at each sector of the beef industry. Poss works alongside his family at Poss Angus in Scotia, Neb. The class traveled to Certified Angus Beef headquarters in Wooster, Ohio, to spend time in the meat lab learning about beef fabrication and the 10 science-based specifications of the Certified Angus Beef brand. To conclude the trip, participants cut and grilled their own Certified Angus Beef steak.
