The Pleasantville baseball team will take on Ridge View in the Class 2A State Baseball Tournament at Merchants Park in Carroll tonight. Pleasantville is the #1 seed in the 2A bracket and will take on the #8 seeded Ridge View Raptors who defeated Grundy Center in their substate final and sit at 22-4 on the year. Pleasantville’s offense has been dangerous all year scoring 10.8 runs a game as they carry a team batting average of .395. Ridge View finished their season third in conference play with a 7-2 league record and defeated Grundy Center in their substate final matchup.
