New Wilmington, Pennsylvania - Dorothy Joan Garing, 96, formerly of Chicora, went to be with Jesus late Saturday evening, July 18, 2026, at Shenango on the Green in New Wilmington. Joan was born Sept. 10, 1929, in Mercer. She was preceded in death by her first and second husbands, Edward Snyder and Lewis Garing. Joan continued her spiritual journey attending the First Baptist Church in New Castle. In addition to her parents and husbands, Joan was preceded in death by three sisters and five brothers, as well as a number of brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
