Chairperson of the African Union Commission (AUC), Mahmoud Ali Youssouf, commended Morocco’s commitment to advancing joint African action. The discussions focused on means to further bolster joint African action and reviewed preparations for the upcoming session of the AU Executive Council, scheduled for late July in Addis Ababa. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring a successful, results-oriented meeting that supports the implementation of the Union’s priorities. Arrouchi reaffirmed the Kingdom’s commitment to promoting collective African action, while emphasizing the need for a practical, action-oriented approach that serves African citizens’ vital interests in line with the continent’s agenda. The Moroccan diplomat also spoke of adopting the peace, security and development nexus as a guiding framework for advancing joint African action.
