Lizzy McAlpine has announced her fourth studio album, Angel, which is due for release on September 18 via RCA Records. The album will be previewed by its lead single, ‘The light in the painting’, arriving on Thursday, July 23. It’s the first song I wrote for the album, almost two years ago now, and feels like the perfect introduction to the world we’ve built for Angel,” McAlpine said in a statement. The forthcoming 15-track record will be her fourth studio release, following Give Me a Minute, Five Seconds Flat and Older. Ahead of the album's release, McAlpine will perform at the Newport Folk Festival in Rhode Island on July 25, joining a line-up that includes CMAT, Brandi Carlile, Lucy Dacus, The Lumineers and Lauryn Hill.
