Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann was founded in 1951 with the objective to keep Irish cultural traditions alive. President Catherine Connolly welcomed representatives from Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann to perform at Áras an Uachtarán on July 20. In advance of the official opening of Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2026, representatives from Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann were invited to a presidential reception. Founded in 1951, it is the largest group involved in the preservation and promotion of Irish traditional music, song and dance.
